The amenities available to members include park’ pools; pickleball, tennis and basketball courts; an equestrian center; recreational barn; private marina with a launch ramp and boat slips and a campground with RV hookups.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager oversees all financial, operational and staffing management functions for the Association.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Board of Directors, its officers and committees to develop operational, strategic planning and programming initiatives to increase value and benefits to the owners and stakeholders;
Develop short-term and long-term business/operational plans through the preparation and implementation of the annual budgets; provide oversight of finances and accurately and timely prepare and report related financial documentation;
Work closely with the Finance Committee to review monthly financials; facilitate Reserve Study updates and site reviews; develop key recommendations relative to other financial decisions as they arise in the course of business;
Manage staff in setting integrated goals/plans/programs supporting the Association’s priorities to include ensuring competent/motivated individuals are in place; support a culture focused on being responsive to the needs of the members and provide training and mentorship to the staff;
Manage human resources function to include recruiting, training, mentorship and disciplinary actions;
Proficient project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
Maintain effective, professional relationships with representatives of the City of Paso Robles, Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties and other regulatory and service agencies impacting Heritage Ranch;
Maintain awareness to the Board of any legislative changes and policies that impact the Association’s involvement with local, county, state and federal agencies impacting Heritage Ranch;
Help set agendas and organize agendas, board packets and minutes for monthly Executive and Open Session board meetings;
Act as a liaison between the board, staff and community; understand and advise the board on matters related to HOA governance, with respect to CA laws, as well as the governing documents of the Association;
Interface with and manage outside contractors and vendors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline; MBA preferred;
Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM), Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), or related certifications, preferred;
At least 5 years of leadership experience within a large-scale community association environment, or City Manager role;
Proficiency with the preparation and implementation of budgets; accounting and strategic business planning;
Proficiency with project management;
Proficient public speaker and ability to maintain and develop internal and external strategic relationships;
Proficiency in software applications to include the MS Office suite of products, Teams and ability to learn and utilize new technologies;
Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Astute time management, attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through, customer service skills and ability to work to tight deadlines;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a collaborative team environment.
Compensation:
$125,000 - $160,000 DOE annual base salary, for this full-time, exempt position paid bi-weekly on Fridays.
