What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilitator position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of Position:
- Facilitator will be responsible for running weekly group sessions emphasizing healthy lifestyles and positive behaviors in home, school, and the community.
- Facilitators will have experience with group intervention for young people coupled with an ability to relate to youth and families reflecting diverse culture and ethnicity.
- Working with the Program Director, Advocates, and other staff as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the program participants are addressed.
- Based on the selected curriculum, develop content and activities for group intervention
- Facilitate weekly group sessions following the schedule established for the program
- Work with the program team to develop and implement systems of incentives and rewards for program participants
- Administer pre-and post-tests to program participants and work together with the program team to evaluate results
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Certified WRAP Facilitator
- Experience preferred that is related to selected instruction topics.
