Specific job responsibilities and goals include but are not limited to:
POSITION SUMMARY:
To increase parent and community involvement and communication in school by working with the school’s administration and utilizing community resources to create a supportive environment for the students to excel in their education.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design and implement an outreach plan to engage families in campus and community activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and support community activities with school leadership.
- Identify and engage community action groups and influential centers.
- Support senior management in engaging parents and community stakeholders.
- Execute local marketing activities, awareness campaigns, and events.
- Provide advice and recommendations for community engagement to senior management and school leadership.
- Develop community outreach through presentations for new and existing opportunities.
- Advise on press releases and media content for senior management.
- Maintain accurate data on parent and community participation.
- Build strong relationships with Community School leadership and staff.
- Develop a welcoming Parent Resource Area to foster relationships between parents, school personnel, and students.
- Build key community relationships and resources for parents and students.
- Deliver programs that promote parent participation and student success.
- Liaise with school personnel to align goals and services.
- Coordinate educational opportunities to enhance student achievement and home-school partnerships.
- Engage parents in school activities to support student and staff success.
- Assist with language barriers during gatherings, visits, and school activities.
- Make home visits and calls to identify parent needs.
- Create programs to engage new parents and students in school success.
- Prepare documentation and materials for activities and information sharing.
- Participate in quality improvement processes and facilitate group dynamics.
- Report to work on time and ready to work.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (bilingual in Spanish preferred).

Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a human service-related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in at least 2 of the following specialties: education, human services, and/or community outreach.
- Demonstrated progressive responsibility increases in area of specialization.
- Presently or formerly a public-school parent.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Experience serving as an advocate for children and/or parents.
- Experience with building community relationships. Experience convening workshops.
- Experience working with families on educational or community issues.
Additional Requirements and Expectations:
Clean driving record and able to pass a level II background screen and drug urinalysis. We are a tobacco free company. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and have 24 months of verifiable work experience/internship/work as volunteer.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel statewide on a regular basis; ability to bend, lift and carry 30 pounds.

Clean driving record and able to pass a level II background screen and drug urinalysis. We are a tobacco free company. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and have 24 months of verifiable work experience/internship/work as volunteer.
