POSITION SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for the quality implementation of behavioral health intervention and prevention services. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Responsible for the oversight of contracts and ensure contract compliance as well as implementing a system of tracking key performance indicators with the support of the Sr. Director of Behavioral Health 
  • Provides support to counseling staff and counseling supervisor to ensure that quality clinical interventions are provided to youth and families.
  • Provides direct supervision to assigned staff, overseeing performance management and professional development.
  • Review and ensures the quality of assessments, treatment plans, psycho-socials, and other clinical documentation.
  • Monitor recruitment and retention and develop strategies for staff stabilization.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting and expense management.
  • Foster and maintain a trauma-informed environment, promoting a positive workplace for staff and clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of laws, DCF, DJJ, and other agency guidelines for eligibility, counseling services to be provided and other actions to be taken.
  • Provide counseling/case management services as needed to ensure contract compliance
  • Responsible for becoming a certified FL Network peer reviewer and attend reviews as requested
  • Conduct regular supervisory meetings, case reviews, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff adherence to ethical standards and best practices in behavioral health and staff completion of expected units to ensures contract deliverables
  • Provides support for staff that provide trauma-informed care, through the promotion of employee self-care, well-being, and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). 
  • Monitors and evaluates adherence to and effectiveness of practices and strategies for individuals impacted by trauma.  

Location: This position will oversee the Community Counseling program located in Pasco, Hernando, Citrus  Pasco, Hernando, Sumter, Polk, Hardee, and Highlands Counties. 

Requirements

 WHAT YOU NEED: Education and Experience: 

  • Must hold a Master's Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university 
  • Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW 
  • At least 2 years of experience in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, and mental health.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience

Physical Requirements:  Position requires employee to work with computers daily. Ability to travel in multi-county areas frequently. Ability to lift 25 pounds, bend, stand or sit for extended periods of time.
