Youth For Tomorrow is seeking a Director of Children and Family Services to be a part of our team in our new office in Richmond, opening in June 2025. This is a full-time position requiring a Licensed therapist in Virginia to provide clinical oversight/management, clinical supervision and intakes for new patients, i.e., LPC or LCSW; with 2-5 years of experiences.
Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Reports to the YFT-BHS Vice President of Program Services.
- This position will require weekly intakes for new patients to be assessed and transferred to current therapists at the Richmond office location.
- Will provide weekly supervision and a staff meeting with therapists/staff to include licensure supervision.
- Will provide direct oversight of Richmond staff in office Mon. thru Thurs. and manage staff virtually on Fridays.
- Develop goals and objectives to accomplish program goals
- Identify potential problems and generate innovative, creative solutions.
- Will be able to manage and assist and give oversight for patients with high risk or need to be transferred or referred to higher level of care.
- Monitor policies and procedures for compliance and quality standards.
- Supervise and direct the work of therapists, administrative and support staff.
- Interview, evaluate, and manage assigned staff.
- Make public presentations to professional organizations, media, or public groups to provide information on mental health matters.
- Assist with special projects and other assignments as requested by the VP YFT-BHS Services.
- Attendance at all training mandated by YFT and respective governing entities.
- Other duties as assigned by the CEO or VP YFT-BHS Services.
Qualifications
Successful candidate must be/have:
- Be Licensed and able to provide clinical counseling by the Virginia Board of Counseling.
- Be board approved to provide clinical supervision for licensure for either the LPC or LCSW.
- Knowledge of methods and principles of planning, developing, implementing and coordinating large complicated functions such as community behavioral health and services for school aged children for outpatient counseling services.
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing the operation and administration of community mental health programs.
- Application and effectiveness of multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment modalities including best practices services model used in a comprehensive community-based behavioral health program.
- Knowledge of personnel management and principles of effective supervision.
- Ability to asses, diagnose and knowledge and experience of providing counseling service to children and youth as well as provide oversight and assist other therapists with ongoing cases as needed.
