General Summary:
This position works under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for the overall Fundraising and Communication program. Includes Youth Home, Inc. and Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and produces all fundraising events including vendor relationships, budgets, and event logistics
- Supervises development of materials related to events including external communications, printed event materials, and event scripts
- Attends conferences, meetings, and conventions as needed to increase agency referrals and development
- Act as agency liaison to Board of Directors and lead Board Development Committee
- Assesses the current donor base, develops strategies and implements programs to cultivate untapped potential
- Manages the grant proposal submission process
- Focuses on Individual and Major Gifts
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, licensed associates and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Basic understanding of calculation of figures
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. Proficiency in using the Sales Force platform preferred. Experience with both Individual and Major Giving. Strong management and leadership experience. Experience working in a medical setting and knowledge of state, federal and Joint Commission regulations desired. Strong multitasking skills required. Experience supervising others.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Team members are required to sit, stand, talk, see, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must maintain a current tuberculosis skin test. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Founded in 1966, Youth Home, Inc., located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a private non-profit mental health provider.
