Key Responsibilities :
Professional job responsibilities will include working with clients to restore motor, social and cognitive functioning, build confidence, develop coping skills, and integrate skills learned in treatment settings into the community settings. Examples of intervention modalities include creative arts, sports, adventure programming, dance / movement, and leisure education. Structured recreational therapy shall be provided during non-traditional hours to promote pro-social activities.

Requirements :
Education : Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related major.
Experience : At least one year experience in recreational / play therapy preferred. Experience in youth and adolescent recreational therapy preferred.
Skills : A sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education. Records management and Medicaid processes preferred. Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Physical Demands : Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to move about the property. Must be able to participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law. Must be able to pass PAR evaluation of physical techniques and written certification exam.
Other : Must maintain an appropriate and valid state drivers license. Must be able to meet requirements for Companys Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Must meet state criminal background check requirements.
