Job Type:

• Full-time, Part-time, Contract, On-call
• Location: Onsite or travel opportunities
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 20-30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary and preventative care, including routine check-ups, immunizations, and screenings.
  
  
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions commonly affecting at-risk youth (e.g., asthma, diabetes, STIs, sickle cell, and hypertension).
  
  
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with the Department of Juvenile Justice rules and regulations.
  
  
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and care planning meetings.
  
  
• Assist in developing Facility Operating Policies and Procedures for medical and dental episodic and emergency care, including annual reviews and revisions.
  
  
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease prevention and health awareness.

Other Duties Include:

• Conduct health screenings, sick calls, and triage medical concerns.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
  
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatments, and procedures.
  
  
• Provide training and guidance to staff on medical best practices and emergency response.
  
  
• Participate in staff development and training sessions.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Certified Nurse Practitioner (Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - APRN) with an active, unrestricted Florida license (per Chapter 464, F.S.).
  
  
• Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program.
  
  
• Experience: Minimum experience in Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine with a focus on adolescent health.
  
  
• Skills: Strong clinical decision-making, independent practice capability, and ability to work with at-risk youth populations.
  
  
• Certifications: CPR certification required.
