YSI is seeking a highly qualified Business Analyst. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Business Analyst shall perform maintenance and sustainment activities that include designing, coding, testing, and implementing AFM requirements. This encompasses all aspects of operating the production, development, and test environments of AFM.
- Provide financial and funds management expertise to support Automated Funds Management support to include financial knowledge, support for users in the field and Tier 2 service desk support. services and deliverables, through the performance period, as they relate to the organization's mission.
- Provide subject matter expertise for Department of the Air Force related financial matters and programs as they relate to Automated Funds Management activities and processes.
- Attends meetings and provides input associated with financial area of expertise. Participates in writing/formulating requirements, documents and evaluations/recommendations.
- Maintains and updates formal MOU, MOA, and Service Level Agreements between Automated Funds Management System and interface partners. Identify and assess training needs, design, and develop training material and deliver training. Experience: Subject Matter Expert in a finance with special knowledge of Funds Management. Experience field contributing to the development of new capabilities, processes, or services.
- Experience providing expert advice and support to colleagues, clients or customers. Support requirements development to include research and development of new capabilities and approaches and have detailed understanding of the role Automated Funds Management System plays in the overall Department of the Air Force financial process.
- Understanding of requirements for DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and Federal Information System Control and Audit Manual (FISCAM) compliance for Funds Management System.
- Provide additional support for application software and hardware.
- Provide additional subject matter expert support to resolve issues that could not be resolved at the functional level. This normally involves complex issues related to hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Developing and providing systems documentation, knowledge base articles, training presentations, and manuals for training the trainer and users
- The Business Analyst shall be required to complete security training as follows:
Information System (IS) users shall complete Information Assurance training prior to receiving access to the IS and annually thereafter.
- The business analyst will use Service Now for Help Desk Support and Incident Management
- System Change Requests will be made using JIRA
- Use Microsoft Project Server for scheduling
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Subject Matter Expert in Air Force Finance and knowledge of Automated Funds Management capabilities and how they related to overall Department of the Air Force Financial management
- Understanding of FIAR and FISCAM compliance requirements for Automated Funds Management and experience implementing FIAR requirements
- Hands on experience with Automated Funds Management System and developing training materials for users in the field when changes to the system are made or new personnel are onboarded.
- Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer encompassing documentation and procedures for various audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or business Administration and 5-8 years’ experience in Department of the Air Force Financial Management.
