Position: Business Analyst
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field required
Experience: Two years of relevant healthcare experience and/or revenue cycle management, encompassing data analysis, workflow design, systems automation, and process improvement.
Position summary: The Business Analyst Role collaborates with business stakeholders to gain insight into their needs for IT solutions within a specific business area. Works closely with other project team members to define and manage requirements, design functional solutions, identify and address project issues, and ensure that the IT solution aligns with business requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Identifies opportunities for enhancing departmental processes.
Collaborates closely with staff to facilitate the development and effective implementation of innovative, high-quality business solutions.
Manages the relationship with project stakeholders to identify, prioritize, model, and document business, process, and data requirements.
Gathers, structures, and evaluates data, and produces precise and comprehensive reports for management and other relevant parties.
Contributes insights to departmental goals and objectives.
Maintains and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications.
Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties.
Acts as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.
Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of fundamental types of information utilized in healthcare settings and comprehension of how data is generated, utilized, and modified.
Proven abilities in analysis, organization, and communication.
Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google GSuite, or related software program.
Ability to adapt to change.
Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
