We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer & Industrial Automation Technician to design, program, and maintain industrial automation systems. This role involves PLC programming in Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block, as well as integrating HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and HART. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for wiring, calibrating, and troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- PLC Programming & Development:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems from manufacturers such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, and others.
- Develop structured, efficient, and documented ladder logic, function block, and structured text programming.
- Implement and modify automation logic for process optimization and troubleshooting.
- SCADA & HMI Development:
- Design and develop SCADA and HMI applications for industrial automation.
- Work with platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Factory Talk Optix, Cygnet, and other SCADA systems.
- Configure and optimize data visualization, trends, alarms, and reporting for operational efficiency.
- Industrial Communication Protocols & Networking:
- Configure and integrate communication protocols such as Modbus (RTU/TCP), HART, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and DeviceNet.
- Troubleshoot communication issues between PLCs, SCADA, field devices, and instrumentation.
- Instrumentation & Control System Integration:
- Configure and commission field instrumentation including pressure transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, temperature controllers, and analyzers from multiple manufacturers.
- Ensure proper signal conditioning, loop tuning, and calibration of industrial instruments.
- System Commissioning & Troubleshooting:
- Assist in startup, commissioning, and field testing of automation systems.
- Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support to resolve automation-related issues.
- Optimize control loops, system response, and alarm handling.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Create and maintain system documentation, including control logic diagrams, electrical schematics, and software backups.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, and industrial automation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, RSLogix, Schneider Unity Pro, Mitsubishi GX Works, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of SCADA/HMI software such as Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, or similar.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, HART, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
- Understanding of electrical schematics, I/O wiring, and control panel design.
- Experience with PID control tuning and troubleshooting of industrial processes.
- Experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT), MQTT, and cloud-based automation solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in industrial control systems (ICS).
- Knowledge of Python, C#, or other scripting languages for automation-related tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Process Control and Industrial control systems.

Work Environment & Travel:
- Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for urgent on-site support when needed.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, including lifting, standing, and working in tight spaces as needed.
- Travel may be required for on-site commissioning and troubleshooting.
