Job Overview
Yuba County Campus of Yuba Community College is actively searching for a diverse pool of qualified candidates to fill current teaching positions for the Bilingual Spanish EMT Class. These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college. Prospective applicants can expect to be contacted and hired throughout the year in response to the institution's specific instructional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for EMT courses up to 10hours/week;
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online), and accelerated coures;
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
- Participates in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees, if desired;
- Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly;
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner.
Required Duties: Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Education and Experience Requirements
The successful candidate must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:
Any Bachelor's or higher AND two years of experience in emergency medical technology and any certificates or license required to do that work
OR any Associate's degree AND any six years of experience in emergency medical technology AND any certificate or license required to do that work
OR the equivalent.
Equivalency Requirement: All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD).
Foreign Transcripts: If you possess foreign transcripts, please note that they must undergo a U.S. evaluation and translation. Contact the Office of People & Culture (HR) through their website to access a list of agencies that provide services for evaluating and translating foreign transcripts. This step is crucial to ensure that your educational background is accurately assessed and understood in the context of U.S. educational standards and requirements.

As a condition of employment, the position does require that you provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fees charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI for the fingerprint report is the candidate's responsibility.
