About the Role:
This Village-Based Services Coordinator position requires a dedicated professional who can build trust and rapport with individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Traditional Council and other stakeholders to create personalized service plans that promote independence and community participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate village-based services and supports
- Assist individuals in accessing healthcare and social services
- Facilitate communication between individuals, families, and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with the Traditional Council to ensure individual safety and well-being
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in special education, child/family health and development, counseling, or community development preferred
- Valid Alaska driver's license or ability to acquire one
- Tuberculin clearance at time of employment and annually thereafter
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain
