Position Summary : Answers scheduling telephones. Schedules, cancels or reschedules patient appointments using the Scheduling Guidelines or routes the calls to appropriate department or party in a professional manner. Assists the Case Management Team in various office duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications :
Minimum Education : High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience : One year experience in a position that requires dealing with the public preferred. Previous switchboard experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
License, Certification, Registration : None required
Equipment / Tools : Computer, Multiline telephone system, copy / print / scan machine and other general office equipment.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills : Able to communicate with easy medical terms for patients. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Yup’ik speaker preferred.
