Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Specialist
This is a safety sensitive position that requires regular safety inspections and maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular safety inspections on building, grounds, and equipment, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, fire systems, exit doors, dock levelers, dock doors, and pallet racking.
- Inspects and tests machinery and equipment, diagnoses mechanical problems, dismantles defective machines and equipment, and installs new or repaired parts following specifications and blueprints.
- Installs, fabricates, modifies, demolishes conveyors, equipment, offices, and other structures.
- Prepares estimates for materials, labor, and time needed for assigned projects.
- Demonstrates proficiency in MIG, Arc, and Gas Welding.
- Tracks and schedules vendor visits as required to support site and business operations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years minimum experience as a maintenance technician in a related industry or three years experience with a trade school equivalent to two years experience.
