Position Summary:
The Support Services Manager at YWCA Greater Lafayette oversees client-centered services for individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault & human trafficking (DV/SA/HT), and ensuring high-quality advocacy, case management, and support programs. This role is responsible for supervising direct service staff, coordinating resources, and fostering a trauma-informed, survivor-centered approach to service delivery. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, promotes community partnerships, and secures sustainable funding to advance the YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Provides direct supervision to program staff, oversees compliance with grant and legal requirements, and develops initiatives that address violence intervention and prevention ensuring accessibility and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Development
- Develop, implement, and evaluate intervention and prevention programs that align with best practices and community needs.
- Ensure programs are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends in domestic violence services and adjust program offerings accordingly.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of advocates, case managers, and other program staff.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven team culture.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Establish and maintain partnerships with law enforcement, healthcare providers, social service agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent YWCA Greater Lafayette in community meetings, coalitions, and task forces related to domestic violence intervention and prevention.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to enhance public awareness of domestic violence and available resources.
Funding & Compliance
- Identify and secure funding opportunities, including grants, contracts, and private donations, to ensure program sustainability.
- Oversee compliance with grant requirements, legal regulations, and reporting obligations.
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports to funders, board members, and relevant agencies.
Advocacy & Policy Development
- Advocate for policies and legislation that support survivors of domestic violence and address systemic issues contributing to abuse.
- Collaborate with local and state policymakers to advance initiatives aligned with YWCA’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, criminal justice, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in domestic violence services, social services, or a related field, including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and best practices in violence prevention.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with grant writing, program evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Associate degree in Social Work, Public Health, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or program management, preferably in a violence intervention/prevention or social services setting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data management systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with accreditation processes or quality certification standards.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations related to violence prevention and intervention programs (e.g., VAWA, VOCA, FVPSA).
- Grant writing or management experience.
Physical/Mental Essential Requirements:
- Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, moderate lifting and carrying (up to thirty (30) pounds).
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
- Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to focus on detail and accuracy of work product.
- Occasional high stress may be experienced in dealing with clients, staff, and volunteers.
- Ability to travel locally to programming sites and community meetings as needed.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for audits or special events.
