8:30 am -4:30 pm
37.5 hours per week
Position Summary:
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Responsible for the day-to-day processing of purchase orders and vendor invoices.
- Serves as primary contact for staff and vendors in the resolution of purchasing matters, investigates and resolves issues relative to invoices, supplies, etc.
- Maintains designated office equipment and arranges for service when needed.
- Completes credit applications, tax-exempt paperwork, etc.
- Collects and tracks W-9s from appropriate vendors. Prepares and distributes year-end 1099’s.
- Maintains filing systems in an accurate and timely manner.
- Processes deposits.
- Manages Hartford office petty cash.
- Inputs various journal entries.
- Runs various reports as needed including vendor activity, deposit transactions, copier usage, etc.
- Performs simple reconciliations for items such as deposits, agency contributions, etc.
- Willing and able to learn financial software (Financial Edge NXT) to support the job’s functions.
- Fulfills various department requests as needed along with support with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller and/ or Chief Financial Officer.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year related experience within a general accounting/office support function;
Schedule:
- The Accounting Clerk is a full time hourly position. Work schedule Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Due to the nature of the work, some weekend and evening hours will be required.
