Job Classification: Full time, Exempt
Work Schedule: Mutually determined, some evenings and weekends required
Salary: $42,500.00 - $43,350.00
Reporting Relationship: CSE Program Director and Director of Community Engagement
Primary Accountability: Provides community education and awareness about domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, human trafficking, and YWCA's mission and services.
Major Duties:
Develops and implements an array of presentations throughout the community on topics related to the agency’s mission and vision.
Schedules and coordinates all speaking engagements for a variety of organizations, such as local schools and community groups, as well as professionals from many diverse disciplines.
Organizes awareness-raising community events, including fundraising events:
Co-chairs Week Without Violence and Concealed Revealed Art Auction Committees
Co-facilitates Holiday Store
Maintains CSE web pages and social media with regular program updates, in coordination with the Community Engagement team.
Assists in the creation and design of promotional materials for CSE services.
Other Duties:
- Provides advocacy to clients, as needed. Particularly in instances of disclosures during presentations.
- Attends biweekly YWCA Council meetings
- Collaborates with YWCA Community Engagement Team, serving as a main point-of-contact for connecting supporters and community member’s to YWCA’s mission, programming, volunteer and funding opportunities.
- Completes CSE program development projects, as assigned by Program Director.
- Complete all timekeeping records as required by funders
- Actively promotes and supports the organization’s mission and vision
- Work 40 hours per week with flexible schedule
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking
- College degree or comparable experience in communication, education, human services, women’s studies or related field.
- Experience in public speaking
- Computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to function in a crisis setting where interruptions are frequent
- Ability to work effectively with adolescents and adults
Physical Demands:
- Ability to drive personal vehicle and to be moving from site to site on any given day.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to climb flights of stairs multiple times daily
