What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Supervisor position at YWCA of Kauai?
Function:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager is a key member of the agency administrative team. The Operations Manager working with the Executive Director will oversee the operational functions within the agency, which include but not limited to; Insurance of agency, Supervision of Camp Sloggett, Supervision of Independent Contractors and maintenance staff, Volunteer Coordination, IT coordination, Inventory of agency equipment and property. Takes ownership for securing solutions to all YWCA property maintenance needs and oversight of all agency facilities.

Specific Qualifications:
1. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
2. Education and experience background must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
3. Masterful organizational and leadership skills using initiative and independent judgment to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
4. Ability to supervise staff and independent contractors.
5. Work closely with Leadership Team in developing long-term operational strategies that help meet company objectives.
Education & Technical Skills:
1. High School diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
2. Experience in developing maintenance plans.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in office management including staff supervision.
4. Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee Camp Sloggett including: Site Caretaker(s), Compliance with all DLNR regulations, maintenance, events, lease renewals, and develop any policies or procedures as needed.
2. Oversees that the maintenance of all agency facilities is in good working order, making recommendations as needed for building maintenance and grounds needs. In conjunction with Executive Director, develop maintenance plan for facilities and agency equipment.
3. Volunteer and community service referral coordination; receive volunteer applications, develop and coordinate volunteer projects.
4. Manage IT needs; web sites, software, and any other related technology.
5. Manage agency insurance policies, ensure timely renewals.
6. Assist with agency communications as needed, may include; annual report, internal and external newsletters, brochures, flyers, and press releases.
7. Maintain agency equipment and property inventory. Manage equipment replacement and purchasing.
8. Organize and manage agency key system.
9. Assist with special events and other resource development.
10. Attends Leadership meetings and collaborates with leadership team.
11. Coordinate with Director of Fund Development to write grants for projects and equipment related to agency operations.
12. Coordinate with vendors as needed for repairs, cleaning, etc.
13. Supervise indoor and outdoor maintenance staff, contractors and volunteers. Assist as needed in projects and maintenance.
14. Performs all others duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
1. Valid driver’s license, vehicle and proof of insurance.
2. Willing and able to travel to Camp Sloggett and Shelter regularly as well as around the island to procure items for agency as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
