Client Care Worker
Position Description:
The Client Care Worker is responsible for the provision of day-to-day concrete services to the client by ensuring that their needs are met. The Client Care Worker is responsible for communicating these needs to the Site Supervisor to ensure that the shelters are well equipped and stocked in order to meet the client’s needs. The Client Care Worker is also responsible for monitoring the shelter site and enforcing all shelter rules, and ensuring that all clients comply with the rules. Must be prepared to respond to emergencies with clear thinking and swift action.
Reports to: Director of Shelter Services
Job Duties:
- Provide a safe structured environment for clients
- Welcome all consumers & greet shelter guests
- Monitor and maintain an orderly facility
- Keep an open communication with Program Director & Site Supervisor
- Review incident reports on a daily basis
- Maintain confidentiality of the clients personal information
- Compile data regarding clients including attendance, behavioral problems, illness, and injuries
- Promote regular and ongoing services for the shelter
- Locate and make use of appropriate community resource for clients
- Prepare units for new clients and maintain inventory of all supplies that are distributed
- Distribute supplies, including linen, food/personal care items
- Discuss all client concerns, client house rules compliance issues, facility concerns with Manager
- Set-up and break down clients vacant units
- Assist clients with needs when necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent organization skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing a broad scope of projects or programs within an organization, achieving positive results and establishing measurable goals.
- Excellent communication skills: superb oral and written communication skills.
- Networker, coach, relationship builder and communicator with experience collaborating with diverse work teams, developing and maintaining an organization-wide strategy for program excellence.
- A result-oriented person passionate about making a real impact and change in the world, and naturally driven by the pursuit.
- Culturally competent with an understanding of serving disadvantaged and oppressed populations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- On call
COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are currently required to wear a mask while working on site.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Client Care: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
