Camp Counselor-School Age

About the Role:

The Camp Counselor for School Age children plays a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children during their time at camp. This position is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development. Counselors will work closely with children to foster a sense of community and belonging, ensuring that each child feels valued and included. Additionally, the Camp Counselor will serve as a mentor and role model, guiding children in their interactions and helping them develop essential life skills. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to provide a memorable and enriching camp experience that supports the growth and development of each child.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a camp counselor or in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in youth programming.
