AP Lead

Yzer is looking for a tenured AP Lead overseeing the day-to-day operations of accounts payable. Ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, maintaining vendor relationships, and guaranteeing compliance with company financial policies regarding payments to suppliers; essentially acting as the primary point of contact for all accounts payable related activities within a company.

Pay Scale: $48,000 to $54,000

Shift: M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm

Position: Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

· Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and provide support during financial audits.

· Assist with miscellaneous projects as required by the Accounting Manager or Chief Financial Officer.

· Monitoring bank accounts on a daily basis to ensure availability of funds before processing payments.

· Reviewing monthly and quarterly provisions and interacting with various Business and Departments in obtaining clarifications.

· Compliance with statutory requirements including issuance of 1099s to vendors, collecting W9 and W8 as required for processing payments to vendors

· Participating in closing activities.

· Participate in the audit process include pre-audit planning, follow up closely on outstanding matters, schedule preparation & the completion of annual report.

· Reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy, including matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents, before approving payments.

· Ensuring timely payment to vendors according to established payment terms, including initiating electronic payments or check run.

· Monitoring adherence to company policies and procedures regarding accounts payable, including internal controls and tax regulations.

· Addressing complex invoice issues, resolving discrepancies with vendors, and escalating problems as needed.

· Preparing and analyzing accounts payable reports, including aging reports, to identify potential issues and provide insights to management.

Qualifications:

· At least 5 years’ experience in progressive, full cycle accounts payable roles, including management.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of educational and professional work experience; Accounting focus preferred.

· Minimum of 3 year of accounting/finance supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to manage, mentor and develop staff.

· 3 years of experience with general ledger and high-volume accounts payable functions.

· Proven data entry proficiency with attention to detail and strong typing skills.

· Experience with accounting or other data entry software and a high level of computer literacy. Great Plains experience preferred but not required.

Skills:

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly related to accounts payable.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

· Leadership and team management abilities.
