ZOe Pediatrics is actively seeking experienced Medical Billing Associates to join our team! As a Medical Billing Associate, you will play a vital role in our revenue generation process by submitting claims to insurance companies, posting payments, managing patient accounts, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances. We are looking for individuals who are computer savvy, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Upon completion of a 90-day probationary period, this position qualifies for our comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical insurance, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.
- Review and verify patient information, diagnoses, and billing codes for completeness and accuracy.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Generate billing reports and provider updates on claim status to management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma; additional certification in medical billing or coding is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing. (Required)
- Proficiency with EHR and billing software
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private billing requirements.
License:
