Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. This position is for 1st shift and requires an early morning start. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a production setting, with a focus on managing assembly lines and ensuring high-quality products. This role requires a strong understanding of production processes and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Production Manager will be responsible for leading a team of production staff and ensuring that all production goals are met.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process
- Ensuring the effective management of production lines of an organization
- Making sure the good quality production of products
- Working out the material and human resources as needed
- Supervising product standards and enforcing quality control programs
- Working with other managers effectively
- Monitoring safety
- Supervising teams of workers and reviewing the work performance of subordinates
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred but not required)
- Experience with MRP/ERP system a plus
- Ability to coordinate multiple functions on the production floor
- Ability to multitask not only duties assigned to the position but also managing various levels of associates
- Ability to occasionally lift to 50 pounds
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to delegate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and internet (email)
