Piper Companies is hiring a Application Development Manager for an insurance company located in Durham, NC. The Application Development Manager will provide application designs and solutions while working with the technical team to define system architecture, configuration and development. The Application Development Manager will need to sit on site 3 days per week in Durham, NC. No sponsorship is available for this role.

Responsibilities of the Application Development Manager:
- Assess system architectures and develop blueprints and roadmaps to achieve strategic objectives.
- Manage multiple application service platforms, including customer service software, bank channel services, secure data transport, workflow management, and homegrown app services.
- Support critical applications during business hours, including customer calls, annuity processing, secure file transfers, and workflow management.
- Hire and train a high-performing development team with HR.
- Lead and motivate development and testing teams.
- Coach product team on system capabilities and features.
Requirements of the Application Development Manager:
- Bachelors Degree is Required
- Proven experience leading a team, both onshore and offshore
- Strong experience in life cycle and process of development, testing and deployment
- Experience in the insurance domain
- Experience working on a Policy Admin System, FAST is preferred
Compensation for the Application Development Manager:
- $140,000 - $150,000 plus bonus
