Security specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Security Assistant to support the Peace Corps on a long-term, fully funded, 5-year contract through 2027, on a full-time basis .

The Security Assistant will handle documentation for conducting personnel security background and adjudication of all Peace Corps staff and contractors.

This role is HYBRID, in McLean, VA and you will be required to be on-site 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.

Responsibilities for the Security Assistant include :

• Support background investigations and security clearances by managing access, monitoring status, and troubleshooting issues in the e-QIP system
• Assist Personnel Security Specialists with data preparation, candidate vetting, and investigative form completion, ensuring compliance with federal standards
• Maintain accurate data, reports, and spreadsheets in the PCCATs system and support Continuous Evaluation and Rapback enrollments
• Develop and implement procedures to enhance the HSPD-12 and e-QIP programs, ensuring alignment with NIST standards and federal policies

Qualifications of the Security Assistant include :

• Bachelor’s Degree (nice to have)
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• USAccess and DCSA Systems (2 years)
• eQIP initiation and managing lifecycle flow (2 years)
• PIPS / CVS applications through DCSA portal (2 years)
• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience initiating Public Trust and national Security Clearance Investigations
• Must be able to submit a OF-306 Declaration for Federal Employment
• Must be able to explain how to start and submit background investigations

Compensation for the Security Assistant includes :

Salary : $70K - $80K based on experience
