What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Recruiter I position at Zachry Group?
Position Responsibilities:
- Recruits, sources, screens candidates and performs preliminary interviews
- Coordinates interviews with appropriate hiring manager/administrative assistants to select qualified candidates
- Manages assigned employment requisitions to include but not limited to reviewing, editing, and final approval of completed requisition
- Tracks and reports data on staffing plan processes using computer software programs that may include MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other software databases
- Assists in building and managing Employment Staffing Plan by entering information related to employment and hiring requirements
- Builds and updates job descriptions based on project and scope of work
- Coordinates and conducts re-deployment initiatives (proactive communication with employees prior to anticipated end date)
- Conducts operational and administrative portions of hire process (background checks, drug screen, health screen, I9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, site specific requirements)
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Experience:
- HS Equivalent required
- Knowledge of Zachry employment processes and federal/state employment law
- Ability to lead others and delegate work
- Ability to plan and make decisions
- Ability to manage people and priorities/tasks
- Be able to resolve conflict and problems
- Technical skills with standard software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
- Excellent people skills including collaboration, communication, presentation and team-building skills
- High level of customer service
- Commitment to Zachry values, practices and policies
Valued but not required skills:
- Bachelors Degree
- PHR / SPHR
- Industrial Construction/Services experience
- Knowledge of Industrial Construction/Services craft labor
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Previous experience in high volume recruiting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements:
- Physical demands : Recruiters will be required to stand, walk, sit, and bend. Will use hands to type, grab, handle or feel objects. Will reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. May occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Will use vision abilities to view objects/people and close and long distances, color perception, depth perception and peripheral views.
- Work Environment : Recruiter may work at employment office, project/site office or area, offsite facility such as a conference or school room or other designated location. Noise level can be high to moderate. People walking traffic can be high to moderate.
