General Manager - The Monarch San Antonio, Curio Collection by Hilton™

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage, and support the successful opening of the hotel.
- Oversee the overall strategy, performance, and profitability of the property.
- Maximize revenue and profit opportunities and ensure the efficient and effective management of the property asset.
- Ensure the delivery of world-class Food and Beverage experience.
- Continuously find ways to improve all areas of the property and remain flexible in rapidly changing environments.
- Demonstrate excellence in all aspects of the guest experience and overall performance of the hotel.
- Ensures hotel implementation and compliance of Zachry Hostels and hotel policies and procedures as well as Brand Standards.
- Approves hotel department budgets, defining and directing changes, as required. Facilitates the preparation of hotel budgets and forecasts for corporate submission and approvals.
- Review forecasts and direct hotel actions required maximizing profitability, increasing service levels, and improving team member satisfaction.
- Oversees the sales and marketing activity and results.
- Lead and/or participate in sales and marketing strategy meetings and engage in efforts to secure business, as needed.
- Speak with and respond to guests’ feedback regarding service challenges.
- Communicate with hotel owners regarding results and aligning strategic plans for the future development of the hotel.
- Ensure that all guest interactions meet the highest level of service and warm welcome/departure for all guests.
- Participate in and maintain active community relations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university required.
- A minimum of five (5) years General Manager experience within a luxury hotel preferred.
- Strong culinary and food and beverage experience preferred.
Special Skills:
- Deep understanding of the nuances of luxury service and the ability to instill it in the team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to articulate a clear vision for the hotel and inspire the team to achieve it.
- Good understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and revenue management.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work large complex programs with great attention to detail while continually presenting a positive attitude, great customer skills and a passion to succeed.
- Overnight travel is required.
- May require evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments on occasion.
