Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join the Enforcement Team at our firm. As a key member of our team, you will support the attorney and the paralegals in handling matters and your responsibilities will include preparing and drafting legal documents, communicating with clients and debtors, and assisting the paralegals with their matters.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting legal documents, such as restraints, subpoenas, and motions.
- Assist in reviewing and organizing case files and documents.
- Provided administrative support to seasoned paralegals
- Review, respond to, and organize emails
- Answer telephone, direct and screen calls, take messages, and retrieve voicemail
- Prepare legal correspondence
- Document management and updating electronic and hard copy files
- Perform research and case investigative work
- Consistently and accurately updating the firm’s internal case management system
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced legal environment.
