As the Manager, Brand Creative at Klein Tools, you will be responsible for leading the visual development and execution of integrated creative projects, ensuring physical in-store, digital and multimedia assets align with Klein Tools’ brand identity and strategic marketing goals across a range of brand and new product launch campaigns. Mirroring an Art Director role in an agency setting, this role requires a balance of strategic conceptual thinking that delivers against the brief, and hands-on visual communications expertise – influencing peers and leading by example to guide the team in producing compelling, high-quality visual content across all marketing channels. You obsess over the consumer experience and are proactive, collaborative, persuasive and dedicated to honing your craft and keeping teams on the same page for creative and brand consistency.
• Manage multiple, concurrent creative projects, overseeing and executing within the end-to-end creative process, from initial concept to final execution. Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales and various Marketing channel owners to understand project goals, target audiences, tensions and timelines.• Develop and communicate a cohesive creative vision for campaigns and projects that supports the overall creative and marketing strategy while addressing unique challenges or requirements of each brief. Cascade communication of the campaign vision to other creative teams for alignment throughout the project to ensure creative development stays on target with the vision and strategy.• Guide cross-functional teams in producing integrated visual communications across a breadth of mediums - including print, digital, retail, activations and events. Partner with in-house studio team to lead photo shoots and A/V production. As a visual creative with multimedia fluency, you drive and execute where needed with strict quality and brand standards.• Present concepts to stakeholders and provide consumer-focused, constructive and actionable feedback to creative teams to ensure deliverables meet brand standards and communications objectives.• Lead and mentor creatives, encouraging creative growth and upward mobility within the team. Foster a collaborative and creative environment that encourages proactivity, strategic intent and excellence in creative output.• Stay hands-on with production and execution and push innovative visual communications while guarding the Klein Tools brand. • Both analytical and creative, you are a problem solver at your core. You understand the value of different perspectives and you know how to leverage them to amplify your outputs.• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Manage workloads, set priorities, maintain consistency, and ensure timely delivery of projects in collaboration with key stakeholders.• Under strategic guidance of the Creative Director and VP Marketing, continuously evaluate and advocate for evolution of brand visual identity to maintain competitive edge while staying true to both consumer and brand.• Manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers and agencies as needed to stay within scope, timelines and budget.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.• 5-7 years of progressive experience, most recently in a creative leadership role such as Art Director or Senior Designer, preferably in an agency or in-house environment.• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual identity, branding, integrated campaigns, and multimedia campaign execution.
Skills• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight, concurrent deadlines.• Excellent attention to detail with organizational skills and ability to prioritize.• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.• Experience with video production, 3D asset workflows, design and layouts, motion graphics, and photography• Familiarity with Project Management (Monday.com or similar), Interface Design/Collaboration (Figma) and Digital Asset Management (Bynder or similar) tools• Exceptional leadership and team management, cultivation skills.• Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate and sell creative concepts effectively. • Experience managing agencies, vendors and maintaining budgets
