Summary:
An Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager and provides support to handle guest service issues, assure great food quality, and, above all, ensure that all Team Members are developing to get better every day. It is essential that the Assistant General Manager balances the needs of their team, their guests, and the company. Additionally, an Assistant General Manager who understands
transparency, collaboration, and sharing of ideas will create a culture for Team Members to provide excellent guest service.
Essential Job Functions
Operations
* Manage proper store operations during scheduled shifts
* Manage and ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed or delegated
* Partner with General Manager to ensure proper store operations
* Leads the team to success, by training, coaching, and mentoring
* Identifies and addresses when processes and actions are consistent/inconsistent with restaurant expectations and standards and coach/praise in the moment
* Floor Control (“aces in their places”) and provides breaks and meal periods
* Acknowledge and address Team Member concerns, partner with GM or HR as needed
*Directs Team Members to follow all cash management procedures
* Organizes and assigns opening and closing duties/responsibilities for the shift
* Coach, train, and develop team members to reach excellence
* Plans weekly schedule & schedules training sessions
* Supports Team Members to reach Mission and Core Values
Guest Services
* Greets all guests in a friendly, helpful, and timely manner
* Offers information and suggestions about our menu to the guest
* Acknowledge, address, and resolve Guest concerns
Food Safety
* Understands, follows, and executes all food safety and work safety requirements
* Ensures food is being prepared, served, and stored to company standard
* Ensures Team Members understand and follow all food safety requirements
