SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician performs diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and production requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Observe and follow all general and departmental safety rules and regulations and complete all required annual safety and environmental training.
· Completes required paperwork and documentation and work orders in a clear, accurate and in a timely manner.
· Always maintains an organized and clean workplace. Maintain 5S duties in the shop.
· Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to eliminate or reduce downtime. Must have basic electrical knowledge and be able to use a multi-meter to troubleshoot 24VDC systems up to 480VAC systems.
· Develop and encourage good interpersonal working relationships among staff members, vendors, and contractors.
· Conduct regular machine assessments with visual inspections to proactively assess machine maintenance and cleaning needs. Involved in developing solutions for equipment issues.
· Perform skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Use a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
· Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
· Maintain spare parts inventory and complete order requisitions when necessary.
· Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
· Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic.
· Two plus years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with automated equipment required.
· Strong mechanical aptitude required, including read and interpreting Drawings and Schematics. Machining knowledge is a plus.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment while adapting to changing priorities.
· Basic computer skills including MS Windows, MS Office required.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
