We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Part-time with potential to Full-Time Team Member to provide compassionate, structured, and trauma-informed care to youth with behavioral health challenges in a respite home setting. This role involves supporting children with emotional regulation, daily routines, crisis intervention, and skill-building while maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
**Shift Schedule: Friday 3pm to 10pm, Saturday 8am to 10pm, Sunday 8am to 5pm**
Key Responsibilities:
$18/hour when part-time
$50-$55k (if offered fulltime)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a respite home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Utilize trauma-informed and behavioral interventions to help children manage emotions, de-escalate conflicts, and develop coping skills.
- Encourage and model positive behaviors by providing structure, consistency, and reinforcement of expectations.
- Facilitate daily routines, including meals, recreational activities, personal care, and bedtime routines.
- Engage in crisis management and de-escalation techniques, following established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care and a collaborative approach.
- Maintain accurate documentation of behaviors, interventions, and progress in accordance with agency policies.
- Support children in developing social and life skills through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience while working with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Ensure professional boundaries while building supportive relationships with youth in care.
- Experience working with children with behavioral or mental health needs (preferred).
- Strong de-escalation skills in high-stress situations.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic when handling challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff and support children effectively.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care, behavior intervention techniques, and emotional regulation strategies.
- High level of dependability, integrity, and self-awareness to ensure safe and ethical care.
- Ability to maintain structure and consistency while adapting to the needs of the youth.
- Cultural competency and nonjudgmental approach to working with diverse populations.
- Full-time weekend position (Friday-Sunday, remain on site).
- Must be available to provide consistent care.
- Previous experience in behavioral health, residential care, respite services, or youth support roles.
- Training in de-escalation techniques
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card (clean background)
- Clean driving record
