We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Part-time with potential to Full-Time Team Member to provide compassionate, structured, and trauma-informed care to youth with behavioral health challenges in a respite home setting . This role involves supporting children with emotional regulation, daily routines, crisis intervention, and skill-building while maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment .
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a respite home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Utilize trauma-informed and behavioral interventions to help children manage emotions, de-escalate conflicts, and develop coping skills.
- Encourage and model positive behaviors by providing structure, consistency, and reinforcement of expectations.
- Facilitate daily routines , including meals, recreational activities, personal care, and bedtime routines.
- Engage in crisis management and de-escalation techniques , following established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care and a collaborative approach.
- Maintain accurate documentation of behaviors, interventions, and progress in accordance with agency policies.
- Support children in developing social and life skills through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience while working with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Ensure professional boundaries while building supportive relationships with youth in care.
