We are looking for a dedicated Weekend House Manager who is interested in driving from Tucson, AZ to Mesa, AZ each weekend to provide compassionate, structured, and trauma-informed care to youth with behavioral health challenges in a respite home environment. This full-time weekend position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while traveling and working on-site to support emotional regulation, daily routines, crisis intervention, and skill-building.
Schedule & Commitment:
- Full-time weekend position (Friday-Sunday), must remain on-site.
- Must be willing to drive from Tucson, AZ to Mesa, AZ each weekend.
- Consistent weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and care to youth in a respite home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Apply trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions to help children manage emotions, resolve conflicts, and develop coping strategies.
- Model and reinforce positive behaviors through consistency and structure.
- Facilitate daily routines, including meals, activities, personal care, and bedtime.
- Manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure continuity of care and support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of behaviors, interventions, and progress.
- Assist youth in developing social and life skills through structured activities.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Maintain professional boundaries while fostering supportive relationships with youth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with children with behavioral or mental health needs (preferred).
- Strong de-escalation skills in high-stress situations.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic when managing challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavior intervention techniques, and emotional regulation strategies.
- High level of dependability, integrity, and self-awareness in ensuring ethical care.
- Ability to maintain structure while adapting to the needs of the youth.
- Cultural competency and a non-judgmental approach to working with diverse populations.

- Previous experience in behavioral health, residential care, respite services, or youth support roles.
- Training in de-escalation techniques.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card (clean background).
- Clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $18/hour for part-time
- $50,000-$55,000 annually (if offered full-time)
