POSITION OVERVIEW
The role involves supporting the Chief Legal Officer in overseeing the management of the Legal Department. The Legal Manager position will also support in the delivery of legal services by providing assistance with corporate governance, managing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with external legal counsel, maintaining legal documentation and processes, and other legal duties.
COMPENSATION: $105,000 - $120,000/year

POSITION OVERVIEW

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assist with the Legal Department's administrative functions, including but not limited to, managing legal documentation, records, databases, budget, developing processes and procedures, and other functions.
- Lead the selection, development, and implementation of a document management system.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and other legal documents under the guidance of attorneys.
- Ensure proper filing, tracking, and maintenance of contracts, board records, legal filings, and other legal documents.
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist with due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business administration, legal studies, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, and/or compliance. Prior experience with in-house legal department preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in standardizing legal processes and administering contract, budget management, and legal matter management systems.
- Prior experience with relevant legal, project management, and operational tools.
- Must have the professionalism, discretion, and sophistication to interact with directors and senior management and to maintain confidentiality of critical corporate matters.
- Demonstrate good judgment, high integrity, and strong communication skills; possess stellar organizational abilities, proactivity, and follow-through to execute tasks effectively.
- A strong multitasker. The ability to effectively work across various time zones and balance challenging demands is critical.
