Summary
This firm's clients are large financial, retail, and servicing corporations. Those companies engage the law firm to collect on their delinquent accounts. Many of these clients place a very high volume of accounts. The firm has a sophisticated system that streamlines the multiple and diverse steps in the collection and litigation processes. The Attorney helps manage the legal accounts and processes. The responsibilities include managing a volume of cases, attending dockets, hearings and trials as needed, assuring each client's guidelines are met, monitoring and managing to regulatory compliance requirements. There is frequent interaction with consumers, other internal units, clients and executive management. It is a fast-paced role that involves a lot of communication with colleagues to solve problems and review progress. Required skills include research, analysis, problem solving, organization, priority management, and written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Juris Doctorate
- Licensed to practice law in the state.
Experience:
- MS Office or equivalent.
- , business, insurance or the legal industry is a plus not required.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in legal collections or related fields is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.
- Excellent research skills with proficiency in Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Ability to litigate effectively and manage a caseload efficiently.
- Familiarity with estate planning principles is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents, including wills and trusts, ensuring compliance with estate planning laws.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in various legal matters, including family law and landlord-tenant disputes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the law office, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to legal standards.
