The Battery Service Solutions Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of all critical power equipment under the battery contract(s) within the referenced region. This position will team with the assigned Director and multiple cross-functional departments to achieve the company's optimal functioning level and ensure complete operability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prioritize and delegate work order requests to battery technicians; oversee that each job is performed with a high level of skill and optimal customer service, with safety as the highest priority.
- Manage the team of individuals responsible for the timely maintenance and repairs of all critical power equipment to ensure full operability 24/7, ultimately increasing the customer base.
- Lead, train, and guide direct reports and ensure that the appropriate resources are available to perform the job.
- Assess current region processes and programs and recommend solutions to improve operability and efficiency.
- Maintain knowledge of electrical guidelines.
- Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions; plan and review payroll bi-weekly and compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the Project Management / Planning of projects (as well as other projects as assigned) by working with your assigned Director.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
- Complete monthly audits of equipment, customer battery inventory, warehouse, and vehicle maintenance, ensure tool inventory is in working order, and tool calibration for each battery technician.
- Report any injuries immediately to the direct supervisor and go through the appropriate channels for any action needed.
- Complete monthly Site Safety Audits to ensure company standards and work policies are always understood and enforced.
- Organize, plan, and deliver safety training weekly with the battery technicians after each Service Department Shop Day.
- Continued management and support of our local region, including travel, planning, and customer satisfaction.
