Zayo is seeking a Director of Operations to be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency across the entire Zayo Advanced and Managed Services (zAMS) team. The Director of Operations works cross-functionally with other Product, Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to define operational standards within both systems and processes throughout the organization. The Director of Operations is responsible and accountable for the performance and results of the zAMs procurement, warehouse, and inventory functions.
Responsibilities :
Oversees and streamlines the operational strategies and processes across the entire zAMS team.
Establishes the team's strategic plan in support of company goals and initiatives, and guides the team to meet its objectives.
Accountable for the team's actions ensuring adherence to established budgets and schedules.
Provides program management team support for process improvement initiatives, including systems development and migration.
Oversees the procurement and distribution of goods for all zAMS initiatives ensuring process alignment with Finance and Accounting teams.
Manages the coordination of suppliers to ensure timely delivery and shipment of goods.
Maintains supplier relationships and identifies opportunities to establish new suppliers.
Provides leadership across a team of warehouse and inventory professionals to ensure consistent and improving operations across disparate warehouse locations.
Develops and maintains inventory control procedures to ensure accurate information is available for proper inventory management.
Defines and implements sparing strategies based on customer contracts.
Establish reporting for key operational metrics to ensure efficiency across all teams.
Staffing and managing the department in strict accordance with Zayo's core values - providing effective coaching and mentoring, targeted professional and personal development planning, workforce and workload balancing, hiring and terminations as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Operations Management and / or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum of six (6) years of managerial or leadership experience.
Project Management skills including : Estimating, Scope Management, Budget Management, Time Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Issue / Conflict Resolution, Communication Management, Quality Management, Testing Plans, Training Plans, Team Management.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations, budgets, and diverse teams.
Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written.)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, relationship management, client facing, negotiation, team-building, and problem-solving.
Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism.
Ability to multitask efficiently.
Self-starter" committed to operational excellence and able to respond to rapid change within the business.
Expertise in MS Office suite, Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow, Salesforce.
Telecom industry experience required.
Estimated base pay range : $125,000 - $178,600 USD / annually.
The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
