Company Description
ZCarbon is a Climate-tech start-up with a vision to enable gigaton carbon removal by 2040. We have developed a transformative, low energy, low cost, highly scalable Direct Air Capture technology that meets all of DOE’s 2035 targets 10 years early: <2GJ/ton, <$100/ton, low Capex. We have solved a problem where everyone else is stuck: energy consumption. And we have developed multiple approaches to get to gigaton carbon removal.
As a first offering, we are looking to sell Carbon Negative Materials in Chemicals and Concrete applications. The technology has been demonstrated in the field environment with 300 hours of testing. We have filed 5 patent applications and numerous in the pipeline.
Role Description: Lead the effort towards developing go-to-market strategy, identifying and executing on product-market fit, raising capital from venture firms and federal grants, developing corporate partnerships, building a business, and building a successful company.
Criteria:
The winning candidate will fill at least one of the following four buckets:
- You have a knack of finding and executing product-market fits. You have done it before and you are ready to take the next breakthrough technology to market.
- You have a track record of raising venture capital and have built a network you can bank on. Bonus if you know the ins and outs of Project Finance, and winning and managing large federal grants.
- You have business experience in the Concrete or Chemicals space. We are looking to sell carbon negative materials for application in concrete and chemicals.
- You have built a start-up in Hardtech, Physical sciences, Cleantech, Climate tech and ready to dive again.
A vision and passion for Climate Tech is a must. A make-it-happen mindset would be a perfect fit. Being an effective communicator is essential for the success of a business leader.
Education:
You may have an MBA from a top tier institution , or an BS/MS/PhD in Chem Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
Prior experience in Climate Tech, DAC or Carbon Capture would be a plus, but not a limiting factor.
