Job Summary
We are seeking two skilled technicians specializing in BGA (Ball Grid Array) rework and repair. The ideal candidates should possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Below are the key skills and qualifications required:
Key Skills & ExpertiseBGA Rework & Repair
- Experience in reworking BGA components, including desoldering and soldering.
- Ability to identify and replace faulty BGA components.
BGA Inspection
- Skilled in visual inspection of BGA solder joints using magnification tools (e.g., microscopes, X-ray equipment).
Soldering Expertise
- Proficiency in both hand and machine soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with leaded and lead-free soldering processes.
BGA Rework Stations
- Hands-on experience in operating BGA rework stations (e.g., hot air rework).
- Understanding of temperature profiling and reflow cycle management.
X-ray Inspection
- Experience in using X-ray machines to inspect BGA solder joints and detect hidden defects.
PCB Knowledge
- Strong understanding of PCB materials, components, and their characteristics.
Surface-Mount Technology (SMT)
- Hands-on experience working with SMT components, in addition to BGA rework.
Handling of Sensitive Components
- Knowledge of handling ESD-sensitive components and the use of anti-static equipment.
Quality Control & Documentation
- Experience in maintaining repair logs and following quality control procedures.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality repairs.
Thermal Profiling
- Familiarity with thermal profiling software to ensure proper heat distribution during rework.
Communication Skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues with team members and management.
Time Management & Efficiency
- Capable of working efficiently under time constraints while maintaining quality.
Industry Standards Knowledge
- Understanding of industry standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21 (rework & repair).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in electronics repair and/or maintenance.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to work in any repair or production area, as needed.
- Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written).
- Must maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Professional appearance and well-groomed demeanor required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based and able to obtain FAA/DOT clearance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electronic equipment, focusing on BGA and surface mount technology.
- Utilize hand tools and IPC-610 certification standards for quality control in PCB repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance and field service tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Communicate with team members and clients to provide updates and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
