Part-time Church Office Administrator
This position is responsible for general administrative duties required for the operation of the church, operating out of the church office in Zebulon, NC.
Responsibilities include:
- Tracking and maintaining church data, documentation, calendar updates, and updating church website as needed.
- Managing confidential information.
- Answering and directing church phone calls and emails.
- Greeting visitors with Christian hospitality.
- Respecting the policies, procedures and theology of the Zebulon United Methodist Church.
- Developing, writing, updating, and disseminating weekly church bulletin and emails, monthly church newsletter, annual reports, and ad hoc communications for special events.
- Facilitating the maintenance of office equipment.
- Developing and monitoring office supply budget, maintaining office supplies.
- Maintaining financial information in partnership with bookkeeper and church leadership.
- Processing, completing and maintaining criminal background checks and safe sanctuaries documentation.
- Recording the use of church music to the appropriate copyright license locations.
- Performing other duties as assigned by Pastor and church leadership.
Skills needed: Constant Contact, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative problem solver, effective time management.
Hours: 20-25 hours, four to five days per week. Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening activities, meetings or assignments.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20,000.00 - $22,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
