Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist - Zeeks Pizza

The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist is responsible for timely processing of payments and receivables in a high-volume environment. They will have primary responsibility for all Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables for the company. In addition, the AP/AR Specialist will communicate with vendors in a positive and efficient manner to resolve any discrepancies. The most successful candidate for this position will be highly organized, be detail-oriented, and feel a sense of accomplishment in correctly preparing, coding, entering, and filing invoices and payments. The AP/AR Specialist reports to the Staff Accountant.

Essential Functions

• A/P
  • Verify vendor invoices prior to payment, research items on vendor statements that need to be resolved
  • Enter all invoices into QuickBooks
  • Classify transactions to proper GL accounts and create journal entries
  • Process weekly/monthly check runs: print checks to match processed invoices and mail/route checks as appropriate
  • Verify and post employee expense reports
  • Perform A/P month end according to the monthly closing schedule
  • Perform A/P year end functions including preparing the 1099 file and audit requests as required
  • File corporate A/P

  • Open and code checks as appropriate
  • Deposit checks
  • Enter all receipts into QuickBooks Enter and process monthly recurring billing
  • Perform month end closing functions according to monthly closing schedule
  • Create, organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files

Experience and Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED required

• Minimum 2 years accounts payable/receivable experience

• Experience with QuickBooks Online

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook

• Must be highly organized

• Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy

• Self-starter, collaborative, positive attitude

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Reliable and accountable independently and in a team environment

• Able to use basic office machines (copier, printer, fax, etc.)

Working Conditions

• Requires sitting for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Compensation

• Full-Time: 32-40 hours per week, with the possibility of hybrid in-person and WFH

Salary : $25 - $28
