Job Title: Deputy Project Manager (PM)-Survivor Outreach Services (SOS)
Summary – This is a contingent Opportunity and would begin work upon the contract award
The Army National Guard (ARNG) is a geographically dispersed force whose members do not have the benefit of installation-based support caring for survivors of our fallen heroes. The need to provide SOS to geographically dispersed service members and Families is ongoing and increases during periods of mobilization, active service, and state call-ups.
Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Deputy Project Manager (DPM) who shall assist the Contract Project Manager (PM) in their responsibilities for the performance of work, Task Order (TO) compliance, and quality control of the Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) Program. The DPM shall act for the contractor when the PM is absent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Full authority to act for the contractor in the PMs absence on all TO matters relating to daily operation of this TO.
- Assists in the management of daily operations and performs a variety of activities in support of each Military Funeral Honors assigned mission
- Assists in the planning, directing, organizing, controlling, and coordination of technical efforts, contractor manpower and team activities, including areas of administration, program control, and technical supervision of personnel involved in the program
- Assists with the planning and execution of all activities related to the contract task order
- Interfaces with the Government’s Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Assistant COR, and Functional Representatives when necessary
- Ensures that all personnel assigned to a task meet Government qualification standards and receive necessary training
- Reviews subcontractor deliverables. Responsible for contract compliance and quality control
- Reviews contract execution to identify problems and ensure that the Government is provided timely notification of funding or execution-related issues
- Knowledgeable of SOS Regional and State Coordinator duties and vets mission requests in accordance with published guidance
- Inputs mission requests into the SOS database within 24 hours and closes out all missions within 72 hours
- Ensures SOS Regional and State Coordinators follow the ARNG SOS Training Statement of Purpose, that they oversee training within their respective states or territories.
- Ensures the proper training of SOS Regional and State Coordinators to perform all assigned tasks
- Ensures that staff understands and complies with ARNG, State NG, and Installation Management Command guidance and regulation.

Required Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution
- Prior experience serving in the military
- A minimum of three years’ experience in Program Management
- Exceptional leadership, communication, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Broad-base knowledge, experience, and skills in the areas of Survivor Outreach Services, military personnel, casualty assistance, and Family programs as well as an understanding of the ARNG
- Demonstrate knowledge of internet interaction, use of government’s data bases, reports preparation, interpret regulations and analyze reports
- Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the military organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, regulations, and policy of the Department of Army
- Possess working knowledge of military protocol when addressing Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Troops and Government personnel
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with civilian and military personnel at all levels
- Be a self-starter and be able to execute responsibilities with minimum oversight
- Ability to plan and organize work activities to achieve established program objectives goal.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
- Valid passport
- Must pass a pre-employment background check

This position requires access to U.S. Government facilities and systems. U.S. Citizenship, a valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance are required.

Physical Demands: This individual works in office areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. They use a personal computer, telephones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Pay Range: $80,000- $130,000
PLEASE NOTE: The Zeiders pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
