What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Analyst position at Zelis?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Financial records for the US operations of Zelis Inc.
- Prepare and analyze Financial statements and reports for Management.
- Reconcile Accounts and ensure the accuracy of Financial data.
- Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
- Periodic Bank reconciliations and other General Ledger reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate Financial reporting and analysis.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate closure of the Month-end process.
- Support with the acquire to retire, order to cash, procure to pay, and record to report processes.
EDUCATION AND professional experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Accounting field
- Knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of sophisticated ERP environments
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience working in a Shared Services Center preferred
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Work environment:
- Expectation to work primarily in the Zelis-India office on a regular basis
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as required to collaborate with teams outside of India
