What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning Support Associate position at Zen Educate?
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? As an Assistant Teacher at Zen Educate, you'll have the opportunity to support licensed teachers in implementing academic adaptations and individualized education plans (IEPs) in K-12 classrooms.
Your Role
- Assist licensed staff in adapting curriculum to meet student needs.
- Work individually or in small groups to support students' self-care and social/behavioral needs.
- Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Provide timely support to students in crisis situations.
- Tailor support to each student's needs using various learning methods.
Qualifications
- Education: 60 college credits or higher, or one of the following: a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment or the Paraprofessional Assessment.
- Language & Authorization: Professional proficiency in English and U.S. Work Authorization.
- Experience: At least 1-year experience working with children in any structured setting.
What You'll Get
- Pay: $18 - $22 per hour, paid weekly.
- Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm (Monday to Friday).
