Zen Kids Care is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Childcare Center Director to join our team at our new location in Everett. Our center offers a unique home-daycare feel, where every child receives personalized attention and care. As the Assistant Center Director, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our small center and ensuring the well-being of our children and staff.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of our Experience curriculum, supervising and scheduling staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. We are seeking a qualified candidate with experience working with students, strong communication skills, and a passion for early childhood education. Duties
- Day-to-day operations : Assist with the day-to-day operations of the daycare center including but not limited to student enrollment, staff hiring and scheduling, staff training and continued education, program planning, program implementation and evaluation, student assessments, family relations, maintaining student and staff records.
- Effective Communication and Collaboration : Manage operations by communicating effectively with staff and holding them accountable to job-related responsibilities. Collaborate with parents, staff, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and maintain effective communication channels.
- Supportive Leadership : Collaborate closely with the Center Director to maintain a warm, friendly, and supportive environment for both children and staff. Embrace our small center's family-like atmosphere and foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
- Small Ratios and Personalized Care : Oversee daily activities and routines to ensure that children receive individualized attention and care. With small staff-to-child ratios, you will have the opportunity to engage with each child on a personal level and provide meaningful learning experiences.
- Curriculum Implementation : Work alongside the Center Director to solidify the delivery of our existing curriculum, designed to promote holistic development and school readiness. Support teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with all state regulations, policies, and licensing requirements.
- Financial Management Support : While the majority of financial responsibilities are managed by the owner, you will assist in budget planning and monitoring to ensure efficient use of resources. Collaborate with the owner to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Empowerment and Mentorship : Embrace our owner's philosophy of empowering staff members and fostering their professional and personal growth. Serve as a mentor and role model, providing guidance and support while fostering a positive work environment and promoting continuous professional development.
