What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tennis Instructor position at Zena Recreation Park?
Zena Rec is seeking a passionate and energetic Weekend Tennis Instructor to coach group lessons for both kids and adults during the fall and spring seasons. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of tennis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire players of all levels to improve their game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct group tennis lessons for children and adults.
- Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and techniques appropriate to each group’s level.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during lessons.
- Communicate effectively with players and parents about progress and program details.
- Represent Zena Rec’s values and contribute to our vibrant community.
Qualifications:
- Experience coaching tennis, preferably in a group setting.
- Strong understanding of tennis fundamentals and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to work with players of varying ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability on weekends during the fall and spring seasons.
- Certification with the U.S. Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) is a plus but not required.
Schedule:

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
