We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Program Analyst/Program Manager to support a Navy Program office in an enhanced security environment at the Washington Navy Yard. In this position, the candidate will be working directly with the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) government customer on advanced enhancements to Surface Navy sensor, weapon and combat systems. The incumbent will provide expert management and interface with leadership across PEO IWS supporting all aspects of DoD major system Acquisition including coordinating with resource sponsors, government stakeholders, academia and industry partners in the achievement of customer program goals.
Support areas include assisting in program operations, execution, evaluations, and reviews. Tasks will include:
- Planning and guiding studies supporting customer program objectives
- Project evaluation
- Preparation of presentation material
- Resolution of any technical project issues
- Resolution of any cost or schedule project issues
- Lead and facilitate working groups
- Experience supporting programs within the DoD acquisition community is required
* Applicant must have a minimum four (4) years' experience providing program management/analyst support within Department of Navy (DoN) environment and particularly within Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
* Possess a four (4) year college degree in business management, engineering, sciences or equivalent experience within a DoN/DoD acquisition program.
* Experience working with naval combat systems with a particular emphasis on the Aegis Combat System.
* Two years of experience working in an enhanced security environment desired
