What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Zenith Logistics?
We are currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position requires experience in Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical Repair.
The Warehouse Maintenance technician is responsible for performing all aspects of maintaining the entire plant facility. This includes levers, seals, lighting, etc; natural gas; parts of the telephone and computer systems; heating, ventilating, and air conditions (HVAC); and the entire yard and grounds area. Also repair and install industrial batteries.
Other responsibilities include painting, both indoors and out; concrete and blacktop work; welding; shop clean-up; safety inspections of hoists, ladders, fire extinguishers, and welders; forming the nucleus of the facility Emergency Response Team (chemical spills); racking repairs, etc.
There will be instances that occur from time to time that require a mechanic to perform duties not within this description. As a result, it attempts to address the typical duties performed, but no way serves as a complete listing of all the requirements of the Warehouse Maintenance Technician position.
The following is a list of ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the position:
- Ability to use common technician hand tools.
- The agility necessary to work from ladders, climb onto the roof of the building, and move around in extremely tight and high areas.
- Must be able to tolerate extremes of heat and cold.
- Must have a good working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems; must be able to comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, etc., and must be able and willing to follow safety regulations such as lockout/tagout, and be aware of State and local codes.
